Meetings

General membership meetings are held once a month throughout the year, except the months of June, July and August, usually on the third Thursday of the month. Meetings typically include a short business agenda and a program or training activity of some kind. A pot-luck dinner often provides the setting if the meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Brief meetings also take place after each race to announce race results, and a barbeque or similar event takes place at the conclusion of each race series and special races such as the Saratoga Sprint and 'Round Whidbey Island Race to award tropies and rehash the exciting times out on the water. WINSA members and not participating in the races are encouraged to attend these post-race events.

Most general membership meetings and post-race get-togethers now take place at Angelo's Caffé in Oak Harbor unless announced otherwise.

Membership in WINSA and/or the Oak Harbor Yacht Club is not a requirement for participation in our races, but is encouraged.
