CUT IN HALF!
Most notable in the Fall Series was the lack of boats. Only four registered. BLUE MOON, SARABAND and TALL BLACK were welcome visitors.Many of the regular skippers had commitments that discouraged them from entering the two-month series. In 2004, the Series Races will have a format that will encourage better attendance.

The four contestants strove mightily among themselves--just as they would have with a greater number of boats. SLINGSHOT and ROSSINANTE didn't miss a race and competed for first and second places. BLIDEVIND and LUCKY JIM were burdened with "did not shows" and "did not finishes," so they were essentially competing with each other for third place.
